Hm, the insertion of another vowel after the first A to clarify the pronunciation of the first vowel is a broader feature, and it turns out that Air- is generally even more popular, which surprises me (Airabella seems insubstantial and flimsy to the more sci-fi twist of Aerabella, which reminds me of Aeon Flux).2004: Airabella,5 (to Arabella,215)2006: Aerabella,9 (to Arabella,447)2007: Aerabella,6 Airabella,6 (to Arabella,456) 2008: Aerabella,5 Airabella,10 Ayrabella,6 (to Arabella,467)2009: Aerabella,12 Airabella,16 Ayrabella,8 (to Arabella,704) 2010: Aerabella,18 Airabella,23 Ayrabella,12 (to Arabella,832)2011: Aerabella,13 Airabella,26 Ayrabella,21 (to Arabella,942)2012: Aerabella,21 Airabella,17 Ayrabella,31 (to Arabella,1314)2013: Aerabella,53 Airabella,38 Ayrabella,13 (to Arabella,1527)2014: Aerabella,33 Airabella,42 Ayrabella,28 (to Arabella,1902)2015: Aerabella,24 Airabella,38 Ayrabella,24 (to Arabella,1675)2016: Aerabella,19 Airabella,46 Ayrabella,13 (to Arabella,1736)2017: Aerabella,18 Airabella,30 Ayrabella,19 (to Arabella,F,1875)I think there was possibly a trigger in 2006 that prompted Aerabella in the first place, and then in 2013 I feel like there was an additional push that prompted the Aerabella to receive such a major push compared to other spellings. It's possible that the Aer- prefix gained from other association and this just pushed more of the Arabella clarifier vowel spellings into using an e (or i) rather than a y.
